Before we get started, this is a final reminder to come check me and other olim out tonight in the Givatayim Storytelling Festival in…where else? ACCO!!! (One of my wonderful friends who will remain anonymous bought the Dimona reference in the last post so just in case there’s any confusion, the Givatayim Storytelling Festival is neither in Dimona nor Petra. It’s in Petra.) Hope to see you tonight! Details here…
Anyway….last week, to kick off Sukkot, I drove up north with a couple of friends to see a popular Israeli band from some years ago in concert, Chaverim Shel Natasha. One of said friends did some research to find a restaurant in the area to eat dinner. I don’t even know what to say about this one…

You see…err….מסעדת דגים (mees-ah-DAHT DAH-geem) means “fish restaurant.” (loosening collar) And, umm… דג means “fish”. (sweating) But, ahem, דג-דגן means….can somebody rescue me here??? COMMENTERS?!?
More stellar Israeli advertising-do you need…
A car?
Shawarma?
Brasseire?
Business class seat?
